“When a couple decides whether or not to have their wedding filmed, I want them to know that by choosing The Wedding Theater, what they see is what they get.  We are upfront on our pricing and our offerings and will always strive to produce the best possible product.  We are a full time wedding film production company, dedicating our careers to our clients and the importance of their wedding day.  Our films are an evolution as we experiment and constantly try to achieve better and harder shots in real time.  Other wedding professionals notice the quality of not only our wedding films, but our client relationships as well.  We are honored to be named “Best of Weddings 2011 and 2012″ from theknot and receive the “BridesChoice 2011″ award from WeddingWire in the same year!  The Wedding Theater crew is comprised of a team of Austin cinematographers who have decided to help newlyweds relive the emotion they felt the day they got married.”

The Wedding Theater was started in late 2007 after multiple soon-to-be brides saw the Highlight films Jonathan produced for his sisters’ weddings earlier that year, and asked if he would be interested in filming their wedding as well. Jonathan started doing film work during college at Texas State University where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Directing. After filming his sisters’ weddings, Jonathan decided to give wedding films a try as a side job.

Early on, the reaction from his clients proved wedding films would never be a part-time hobby. Jonathan quickly decided to expand and make a team of players with the thought that a team of talent would be far more effective than just one person, thus The Wedding Theater was created!

There is no comparison to our style. We are a full-time wedding production studio and we make sure that as we film, we are documenting every sincere moment as it happens naturally. We know that you will have a photographer there to snap moments in time that you will forever cherish, so adding video means you want something different. We make sure that our films stand apart from those pictures. We see tons of wedding films that are edited beautifully but they are simply slideshows of video (what you see in your pictures, from a video camera on a tripod.) We use actual cinematography (combining light and camera movement) to bring emotion that just cannot be achieved by pictures.  99% of our clients claim the video they received is the best decision they made, and pretty much everyone we talk to that didn’t have their wedding filmed regrets it.

We work closely with you to make sure we provide the exact product you are looking for. If there are certain looks, people, music, events,etc. that you want in your film, we make sure to tailor to those wants. We don’t work from home like many wedding professionals.  We find it better to meet with our clients in our 1800 SqFt studio/office off Burnet Rd.  We realize its somewhat of a sacrifice to have the overhead, but feel its extremely important to be professional and have a place of business for your peace of mind.  Here we can chat without being in a loud coffee shop or even having to go to someones private home.  We also work on post production there, so with a scheduled visit, you could stop by to see an early edit of your film!  The Wedding Theater also boosts an organic, creative environment where we feel a team effort with many different opinions all coming together gives the best possible product, rather than just one person being the “Talent..”
